“Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink…”

goes the old time song by james casey.

This is exactly our plight during the onset of summer in our country.

Over the past few decades there has been an alarming increase in water consumption due to massive population growth all over the world, leading to a high water scarcity. The natural phenomena like weather fluctuation, global warming combined with manmade problems like water pollution, and overuse of water for urbanization, industrialization and all other competitive commercial activities also added the intensity. All known techniques have been applied by the central / state governments to circumvent the water shortage, yet many people suffer in silence, it’s scarcity during summer peaks not only in villages but also in urban areas too. It’s time for the world to wake to prevent this threatening hazard which leads to devastation of the coming generation, by enlightening the people to conserve nature and natural resources.
